I needed some grading and landscaping at my home. J & K came when they said they would and did a great job grading and hydroseeding my yard. I would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to anyone.

A couple of years ago I had a some fill dirt delivered which turned out to be someone else’s junk and a huge mistake. I trusting a contractor that worked on my neighbors property but was not present for the deliveries. I ended up pull out rebar and pipes and plastic buried under the dirt. Worst of all, the guy damaged many of my trees with his Bobcat. This year I vowed to not make the same mistake. I had Jason Walter of J&K Grounds Maintenance come out and walk around my property and listen to my concerns with leveling numerous low and high spots and applying good, clean dirt followed by hydroseeding the area. I made sure I was present when the work was being done. I was impressed with the amount of care they took to prepare the area. They first removed all the leaves from the property. Next they leveled the ground where I had asked and make it ready to receive the good soil. Above all they worked around all my trees without inflicting any damage. I am thoroughly impressed with all aspects of their work beginning with listening and understanding what I wanted through to completion. I would not hesitate to recommend this company for any of work they do.

Jason and his team came out and excavated, graded, soiled and hydro seeded our front lawn. The team was very professional. Our front lawn has never looked better! We will definitely work with J&K when we do our back yard!

They were very prompt in coming out to give a quote and were very responsive. Even though we weren’t ready for the work for a few weeks when we did confirm the work they responded immediately and got us scheduled. The driveway refresh turned out great. Couldn’t be happier. Definitely recommend.

J&K redid our gravel driveway and did a spectacular job. It had been a complete mess after heavy rains and a lack of maintenance. Jason and his crew raked the entire driveway, fixed the gutters, spread four loads of gravel, and compacted it all. What was an eye sore and a danger to any car’s suspension is now a beautiful, smooth gravel drive. Couldn’t be happier.

They did a great job. I had a different company come and install drains on my property to replace a dry bed. After some heavy rains it became clear the job wasn’t done right. J&K fixed the poor job of the other contractor and made things look a lot better than expected. It has only been a day and I already see a significant difference in the drainage. They were all so nice to work with and professional. I will be hiring them again for sure!

Jason and his team at J&K have done excellent work for me since I moved into my small farm property approximately 1.5 years ago. When I first met Jason, he was extremely responsive in installing a stone driveway at my home. When I moved in, I had only a muddy dirt path up a rather steep hill to my house. He installed a driveway in the late winter/early spring, working around wet weather. His first analyses/estimates were done promptly after I contacted him, on a snowy winter morning after he had completed a long night of plowing roads. This driveway was something that I could not have lived without, as I could not get my vehicles up to my house in the mud. He installed it as soon as the weather allowed. I have received many compliments on this driveway. It looks great and the grade and drainage are excellent.
Fast-forward a bit over one year: Jason made it very possible for me to have a dressage arena (horse riding) in my back yard, as well as a separate driveway to my barn. He went to great pains to make these two projects affordable for me, and the quality of the work is exceptional. He was very careful with the grading of the arena, making doubly sure that the drainage would be correct by consulting with another colleague before commencing the work. He definitely understood the importance of drainage for this sort of project, and he was very conscientious about making sure every measurement was correct. He also worked very well with the other contractors who are installing new fencing on my property and refurbishing my barn. Everything went harmoniously and smoothly. My other contractors complimented him, saying what a great guy he is.

After having our pool installed we had an issue with the grading resulting in dirt overtaking the retaining wall. They came in, adjusted the swale, put down hydroseed and within 3 weeks we had fully covered grass with zero drainage issues. They did such an amazing job with communication and work, I’d highly recommend using them for any work, especially after a major project.

I would strongly recommend J&k Ground Maintenance. I just built a new home and it required a lot of prep, and quite honestly just a lot of work before any seeding could take place. They did an exceptional job preparing the ground and within a week and a half I had grass coming up. They were responsive, accommodating, professional for a responsible price. I plan to use their services moving forward!

Needed to replace culvert and cover with asphalt. First – Jason came on-stie to look at the job. He explained the work needed and the process. J&K does not do asphalt but did arrange to have asphalt laid. Was extremely nice to deal only with Jason and not have to worry about finding someone to do the asphalt work separately. All included in one quote. Second â Received quote for the work promptly. Third â J&K Installed the culvert and new asphalt, completed in a reasonable time. Weather delays. Fourth â Found out there was a second problem which caused the old culvert to fail. Needed the drainage ditch cleaned out because over the years it had filled in with dirt. The water was not running as it should. Jason investigated what it would take to correct the issue and made a recommendation. Give us a quote for the work and start immediately. We are VERY satisfied with all the work they have done. Special note -J&K work crew cleaned up after themselves each day. One more thing I need to say about this job site. Exceedingly difficult because of the drainage issue, but Jason and his team stayed the course, took their time and the water is running off. Their work is very professional. Looks WONDERFULL. Would highly recommend J&K Ground Maintenance.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience I had with J&K Grounds Maintenance – they have solved a problem for me that has been plaguing my property since I moved in three years ago. Namely, the access road to my home was poorly designed and would wash away with every rainstorm. Within a week a contacting Jason, I moved from a quote to job completion! We had a great experience with J&K. Our gravel driveway was a series of potholes and lakes when it rained. J&K was prompt with a reasonable estimate, explained the issues causing the problems and quickly scheduled the work. We used the contact link to submit our info and request an estimate, which was promptly responded to. J&K met with us, and by that evening we had both an emailed estimate as well as a follow up call to see if we had any questions. We found the pricing to be very competitive. We scheduled the work, but the original date needed to be changed due to inclement weather, which I think is very professional to guarantee the best possible results. Once the work was complete, we received pictures and follow up messages to ensure our satisfaction. Overall, we are extremely happy with the price, work, and communication we received, and can recommend J&K with no reservations. We will certainly be using them again!

As a result of the excellent work J&K performed on my gravel driveway last year, I reached out to them again to convert two large areas of rock-laden ground into extensions of my front lawns. They took their time to extract hundreds of small rocks, then carefully laid topsoil and put down a mix of non-erosion grass seed. They also recommended overlaying hay netting over some of the areas where I know water runs when it rains. Good idea. I expect the end product to look great. If there is an issue, I am confident Jason will come back to address.

This is our second project with JandK, and they did not disappoint. They are innovative, problem solvers, and have a polite and positive approach. Their prices are competitive and their work is top notch. They communicate well, and always show up when they are supposed to.

My yard had developed some ugly bare patches that I just couldn’t seem to get fixed no matter what I did. I also had a lot roots from our tree emerging from the soil. Jason and J&K team came out and assessed the problem and proposed adding topsoil and hydroseeding the entire lawn. They were incredibly efficient getting the job done laying down a really thick mix of topsoil and fertilizer before spraying the hydroseed. I was shocked at how fast the grass came up. I had a number of folks in the neighborhood remark about it too. Jason continued to follow up with me in the months following the treatment to make sure it was going well and advise me on taking care of any areas that had any issues. Awesome. I had my yard ripped out and replaced by these guys when the mass production builder left me with nothing but rocks and construction debris for dead and dying sod to grow upon. Fabulous job by J&K. Completely cleared out, machine raked of rocks (and hauled away) and debris, good new topsoil spread out and topped off with hydroseed. Looking forward to having a nice lawn this year. Thanks, guys!!

J&K did a fantastic job on my gravel driveway! It was worn and full of ruts and mud. They used their equipment to smooth it out and dig up lots of mud, then refilled it with new gravel. It is back to being a new driveway! I would highly recommend them!

Jason took my call and answered all of the questions that I had regarding gravel for a driveway extension I’m doing that a lot of the quarries and haulers just couldn’t or wouldn’t answer for me. He was transparent, knowledgeable, and straight to the point. I really appreciate the time he took to do this. He reiterated that 21A is NOT the same thing as crusher run even though a lot of places will market it as such, advised to lay #3 as a base below the 21A, and emphasized the importance of vibratory rolling when laying down the gravel. I walked away from that conversation with more insight and more confidence in tackling my project. I’ll definitely be reaching out if I ever have any larger project needs. Just from that one conversation, I know the competence level that he has and am confident that he would not only do a good job, but do it right.

I cannot say enough about the job J&K did at my property. They took what seemed like an impossible ask and turned it into a well thought out reality.
